New News!

Greetings,

We hope you are having a nice productive start to your 2012 season, we are hearing of a few Salmon caught and returned as well as good trout fishing. It looks like a combination of not stocking, total catch and release for trout and the mild winter has already started to make an impact.

Those of you who have not visited the website in a while might like to join the forum and ask any questions of just offer some help. Some of the committee members recently put together a new bridge up at the Balmore Road and volunteers to help are always appreciated. We have also updated the site to make it more easy to find information like how to obtain a permit. Please get in touch if you would like to see something else or would like.to contribute.

James, our new head bailiff has also been busy and has asked several people without permits to leave the river. Alistair and Paul met three chaps spinning on a Sunday above the Golf Course without permits who were asked to leave. We will be targeting areas such as the Vet School over the next few weeks to combat poachers and those fishing illegally.

As usual, any issues of pollution please get in touch with SEPA and any issues around poaching phone the number on your permit.

If you have not done so already you can sign up to receive news as it is posted via this form
