Permits

A permit is required for the entire river – no section is excluded – the boundary extends approx a half mile above and below the mouth of the Kelvin into the Clyde.

Season permits are available at all tackle shops throughout Glasgow. Currently the cost is £20 per season with concessions for people who are disabled or pensioners.

Under 16s can fish for free as long as they are with their fathers. Any under 16 (who does not have a father who fishes) can buy a permit for £5.

All concessionary tickets require some form of documentary proof to be shown at time of purchase. – for example, a concessionary travel card.

Currently there are no day permits.
