2021 Season

I’m pleased to announce that permits for the 2021 season are now on sale through the official website. It has been a challenging process this year, and there are still some details to be worked out, but for those wishing to start their fishing you can now purchase your permit online.

The Committee have taken the decision to offer a discount on the cost of a permit for existing members. This is to compensate for the time lost from last season where the river was closed. This offer will close at the end of March. There is a £10 discount on the Salmon season ticket and £5 on the trout fly only permit.

It will not be possible to have an AGM this year in accordance with the Association’s Constitution. Therefore the plan is to hold a “virtual meeting” where we can update members and answer any questions. The date and joining instructions will be announced separately.  Any proposals will be adopted on a voluntary basis, with a view to ratifying them as soon as we can have an official AGM.

The Committee have decided to make a slight change to the rules this year. All fishing from Partick Bridge down to the confluence with the Clyde (around 500m) will be fly only. More details on this decision will be in the news letter.
